Care for the Gardens

For the enjoyment of all, we encourage all visitors to play their part to protect our living collections and to maintain the peace and tranquility in the Gardens:
  • Take nothing but photographs
  • Our lawns are lush, clean, and suitable for picnics so please use only picnic mats
  • Sale and solicitation of items and services are not permitted
  • Please refrain from blocking our pathways
  • Children are allowed on tri-cycles, two- wheelers, scooters/skates only under strict supervision. There are varying gradients in the Gardens, so please use caution.
  • Nature’s natural audio system - Birds chirping, frogs croaking and cicadas calling – are much preferred to the electronic man made one.
  • For the safety of all, please leash your canine friends and muzzle them in accordance with the Animals & Birds (Dog Licensing & Control) Rules. Refer to this chart for more information.
  • Dog poo bags are available at various entrances. Please clean up after your dogs and dispose of all waste in a hygienic and considerate manner.
  • Littering attracts pests and causes unsightly lawns. Go clean, go green.
  • Please refrain from playing with fire in order to protect the plants.
  • To keep the air fresh and clean, smoking is not permitted.
  • Please refrain from playing with frisbees, boomerangs, kites and footballs as these activities disturb the peace of the Gardens
